Christmas Steam Sale time folks! Prepare your wallets Today's deals are: The Borderlands Franchise: -50 to 75% off The Hitman Franchise: -50 to 75% off The Prince of Persia franchise: -75% off Scribblenauts Unlimited: $33.35 Wargame: European Escalation: $10 Mirrors Edge: $2.50 Seeing Scribblenauts on sale hurts, as I bought it a few days ago for full price. I'm on the edge with Borderlands, as I do want to get the Borderlands 2 DLC, but I haven't been into Borderlands 2. I did get Natural Selection 2 for $10, which is funny because I was thinking about getting it for it's full price ($25) earlier today in the flash sale. I also get Half Life 2 for $5, I'm not gonna play it, in fact I think it's really boring, I just want it for Garrys Mod, as some maps need textures from it. Obviously related:

The Day Two sales are up
Darksiders Franchise: -66 to 70% Psychonauts: $2.50 Dishonoured: $40 Sim City 4: $5 Tom Clancy's Franchise: -31 to 75% FEAR Franchise: -75$
For an End of the Year seasonal sale, so far it's pretty lacking. Not totally sure why they have to advertise the whole Daily Deal thing, when so many games are on sale as well, most being better then what's on sale.

Ya this sale isn't as good as previous sales. Still not interested in any of this. Hopefully better tomorrow.

Yeah it's not great so far, saying that I bought Sim City 4 - I already own the original but I wanted Rush Hour and also the convenience of having the game on Steam. Should keep me going until Sim City 5 in March ;D

Dead Island is the only one that caught my eye, I'll buy it other then that this one sucks too.

The fact they put Train Simulator up is just sad, when there's so many better games like Payday they could put in the daily deal instead.
Not sure how I feel with DOTA going on the sale, as the game's hell for new players to the game, I have it cause I applied for the BETA of it ages ago, the one time I actually did play it, I had no idea what to really do in terms on items and what not. There's not form of tutorial to ease you into the game and losing money on death is something that happens, which is a big no in my book.

I did take part in the Daily Deal however, I did gift the Dawn of War Franchise pack to mate of mine, he was extatic at how much stuff was in the pack, 7 games and all the Retribtution DLC

Could have gifted me for that part of the badge. Yeah nothing I want today either, they're not exactly putting up a load of games this time around are they? The Autumn and Summer sales both had a dozen or more games on sale and the flash deals were more frequent, in previous years the Winter sale has always been considered 'the big one' so it's surprising to see so little on offer. Plus don't diss Train Simulator, it's awesome. Saying that I got it in the summer sale for something insane like 97% off, according to my purchase history I paid £2.99 for that and some DLC.

You're a bad person and you should feel bad. The new day Carrier Command Gaea Mission: $25 Chivlary Medieval Warfare: $12.50 Super Street Fighter IV: $13.50 Anno 2070: $24 Saints Row The Third - The Full Package: $7.50 Portal Franchise: Someone else while have to say the $ off, as for some reason it's saying it's unavailable in my region Eh, kinda odd that it's saying Portal is unavailable in my region. I'd recommend Chivalry, as it's a good FPS (First Person Slasher (though in the case of Archers, First Person Shooter ). I'd have to say that SSFIV would be only playable if you have a gamepad considering how it plays. TBH, I'm not even surprised they're halfassing the winter sale, even though it's unrelated, they even halfassed the Christmas update for TF2, I mean 3 new items? Sure they brought back the chests which allow you to get the items from last year, but still. I was actually hoping it'd be better this year

Anno 2070 is about the only thing I'm interested in today, but even at £12 over here that's still a bit pricey. It's been out for over a year too.

I'm just pointing out that for some reason, Portal 2 which is on sale and the Valve bundle both say that they're unavailable in my region. Which quite frankly is quite odd

It is, all I could find out about it was something on the Steam forums and the reply was "Valve are looking into it." The deals have changed now anyway and nothing was done, I have no idea why it's not available.
Todays deals:
Of Orcs And Men Mass Effect franchise (excluding 3...) Company of Heroes franchise Endless Space Sonic franchise Call of Duty franchise
Again nothing of much interest, I thought they'd put out some decent stuff as it's Christmas Eve.

It seems awfully daft for them to say they're putting Mass Effect franchise on sale, yet it's only number 1 and 2, odd...
