This is a question that continuously pops up in my head.
If DXX: The Rebirth never died where do you think it would be today? It's a hard one to say, with the way it was going before it died, constant arguing, Assy and McMac busy so unable to log on every day (no disrespect of course, regular life always comes first), and the mods scrambling to control the highly active forum and usually getting insulted I think it would have had a major downfall, (since mods were quitting here and there, or talking about quitting) but would have picked up and would still be thriving today. I'm sure most of the originals would have left, but it would still be one of the most active e-feds today.
Where do you think DXX: The Rebirth would be today?

Don't want to say it, but I think it probably would've died anyway, considering how you've described what's happened leading up to it going down, hell I don't even remember most of that

The mods were causing most of the drama, in my opinion. Their authority wasn't taken seriously because they were constantly overreacting, attention seeking and threatening to leave. So I hope the mods are more in touch with the members this time. AoD is a good start.

I would probably have made several more one-week comebacks...

I fully believe DXX would have continued. Arguing on an e-fed is to be expected. Yes, it did begin to reach some serious heights after awhile but DXX would not have completely died - it was still extremely active. However, activity would have waned up and down throughout - that happens on an e-fed that lasts for as long as we're assuming. In the end though, it was a good decision to take a break before members likely had given up on the federation for good.
But I agree with Storme. Moderation was an enormous problem. I'm not going to say I didn't make my own mistakes - those are well documented. But there were times where I clearly was being victimized due to my history. Which I guess is understandable, but still a bit unfair. AoD is excellent, though.

Before the Rebirth was deleted, we were planning on merging DXX with a forum called XWA that is still very active today. Much more active than DXX. But then DXX got deleted and while myself and Terrell Odom were finalizing the merge, Cody decided to F**k that up and invited everybody to a new forum called DXX:Recharged. Thanks Cody p_P.
So either we'd be on a really active forum called XWA or the same exact S**t that happened on DXX:Recharged would have happened. Either way, the DXX portion probably would of been completely dead by February 2010 like it actually was.

I'd have gone over to the competition then come back, then fucked off again for personal reasons. There would've been drama, bad moderating, and I still would've been the best RPer with the best characters compared to everyone else there.
that being said DXX was like the Ottoman empire by The Great War, it was on its last legs, the sick man of e-fedding. The death and renewal we've seen was good for it and it cleared our heads. This fresh start will allow us all to shake off some rust and issues and move on. My only regret was killing Khwame Miles.
