DXX has been around in some form or another, most recently in spirit, for nearly six years. With this current (and hopefully permanent) revival we hope to see members both old and new, so this is a brief history of what's happened in DXX over the past few years. Obviously I can't include everything as it would stretch to what I would consider to be an award winning university essay, so here goes.
If our regulars would like to contribute more then please feel free to do so, hopefully our new members will then have a good idea of what we've done so far before they help us shape the future.
D-Generation XX (also known as DXX) was orginally established in August 2006 by Mr. McMahon, better known at the time as Kurt Cantona. He was part of a wrestling forum that was very poorly run at the time, and decided to establish DXX, sharing his vision with several other members and recruiting them to help get the new site off the ground. Almost instantly the site became a success thanks to a combination of excellent advertising ideas, hard work, good show writing and of course a little bit of luck. Within a matter of weeks DXX was fully functional, with a weekly e-fed show, a friendly and close community and an ever-expanding graphics area to give the forum a secondary purpose.
At the time of its unfortunate closure in late 2009 DXX was home to over 200 members, although around 1,500 had been a part of the site since its inception. There were two different brands - Monday Night Massacre and Friday Night Mayhem, and both shows had five titles each with a Womens Title shared between them and for a brief time DXX had it's own development brand under the former WWE name OVW (Ohio valley Wrestling) and in 2008 it was announced the idea would be revived under the new name of DXX Rated. There was also a thriving graphics section of the site, where all the great GFX makers from all around the world posted and reviewed each other graphics as well as shared tutorials, advice and ideas.
Dozens of people held the reigns as General Manager of DXX's shows over the years, and I won't lie to you - the turnover was high due to the massive demands of the job as a result of so many active e-fedders and the reason why we decided three shows were necessary. Guys and girls like Carari Grey, Rocco Ross, Triple H, Broken Glass, Randy Orton, Mr McMahon, Assassin, James Kidd and many, many more all did fantastic jobs of creating memorable matches to help fuel incredible rivalries from the creative minds of the members. We've had loads of championship titles come and go as well, in fact all the information can be found on the thriving DXXPedia. The formatting is all messed up which I plan to sort out once I've remembered how, but the information is still intact so please enjoy browsing through our 200+ wiki pages on there including title histories, show information and superstar biographies.
Every year since it began DXX has hosted the DXX Awards and the DXX Hall of Fame and briefly in 2006, the Real Life Wrestling Awards. We also had Member of The Month and GFXer of The Month competitions along with regular GFX battles, all of which we have revived for DXX: From The Ashes.
