I'll be honest when I saw the title of this thread I was like "ugh" I personally dislike Goldberg I think he's overrated, but good for those that like him I suppose , just keep him off my television set!

haha yeah I suspect it's more of a Legends deal with the DVD etc, MAYBE he will make the occasional appearance on RAW or something but I doubt it.
Assuming he did come back on a fairly regular basis, one guy I wouldn't want to see him feuding with would have to be Brock Lesnar. Their feud, including the match at Wrestlemania XX which was both of their last matches in WWE for years to come was boring beyond measure, even with Stone Cold thrown in as the guest ref.
So yeah, maybe for nostalgia sake it would be nice to see him on WWE TV here and there, but full time? Personally, I wouldn't actually object to it as I quite liked him, but I don't miss the guy or anything - perhaps best leaving the past in the past?

Agreed - about the only thing I would like to see is him coming down and destroying Ryback for rehashing his gimmick, and a proper feud with Lesnar would be nice as the two are capable of a much better match than the first time.
If I recall the reason it was so bad is because they were both leaving and basically couldn't be bothered, is that right?

Though to be honest when I watch wrestling these days I'm always doing something else at the same time so the match quality doesn't bother me all that much, it's the ridiculous outcomes and storylines that bug me. Back on subject, I wouldn't mind seeing Goldberg take on Sheamus either!

Spear everybody with feet then leave. It makes sense to me.

Goldberg may nto be the most entertaining as far as wrestling goes but he did had some charisma in him. He wasnt' really flashy with his moves... he just speared everyone in sight... and then jack hammered their ass

Goldberg is an odd one, pushed to the top and left the company still green as goatshit and with the worst attitude. He had no gimmick save for the Daniel Bryan Danielson gimmick: He had something that wasn't necessarily a pre-written, tried and true gimmick or persona. He had a pretty bland gimmick and no personality, but he also had his mannerisms, his theme, his moveset, and most of all: His Routine.
Why's Ryback so fun to watch? 'Cuz you know what you're gunna get. Ryback's theme hits, You roll your eyes at how stupid his "FEET ME MORE" soundbites are, but you get pumped up by his slow, marching, heavy guitar. He gets to the ring, he does 2-4 big moves, he does the big clothesline, he does his fisherman samoan drop to two guys, he pins 'em, BAM. Entertained.
Goldberg's the same. His imposing march-style theme hits, he gets shot with fire works, exhales smoke from them, he heads to the ring, hits some big moves clumsily, (He DID end bret hart's career by being green as goatshit) he hits the spear, he hits the jackhammer, crowd chants "GOLDBERG" for a bit, same time next week when the announcers talk about his streak.
I liked Goldberg for the reason I like Ryback. He's a big tough guy, has some big tough moves, and has an awesome theme and some neat little things he does. Ryback's better 'cuz they're pacing him and not shooting him to the moon, and 'cuz out of wrestling goldberg's a massive prick towards the fans and the biz. Seeing Goldberg getting a bit more of a pat on the back without warrant reminds me of Rock's return (make 2-3 appearances, own our top star at WRESTLETRUCKFUCKINGMANIA, beat off in our eye, come back next year for another paycheck and the same thing) or the return of lesnar... but that seems to be WWE's thing now.
Either way I wanna hear his theme and see his pyro again, it's some nice nostalgia.
