^ I'd maybe put Amare in there.
We smashed those guys pretty rough tonight. I'm looking forward to the Olympics.

I'd put KG before Amare.
"We." I won't probably watch. Don't like this country, won't support it. The games usually suck anyway.

These are NBA players going against non-NBA players for the most part. USA basketball is almost always going to win. You don't build a team you pick your best couple players at each position. Your logic and reasoning humor me! LMAO Yes these are non-NBA players they face, but that doesn't mean they can't expose the US's weaknesses like they have done in the past (the disaster in 04 comes to mind.) This isn't a video game where you just get the top talent (which by the guys you've mentioned aren't even top 3 or mostly because they can put up big numbers on crappy teams.) You have to take into account personalities, weaknesses of each player and how to compliment these weaknesses with other players' strengths. You are building not only a team, but a program and if you didn't notice, Coach K hasn't failed at all. Players need to be mature enough to accept certain roles and 1-12 on this years team have shown they will take lesser roles. Some guys you did mention had their shot and because of immaturity weren't selected (Lebron himself was almost kicked off the 04 team for that reason, Kobe wasn't on it, Pierce was having the same problems and that was his last shot) Others are on the 'Select' team which is just another group of younger guys they scrimmage against and bring in for the future (Demarcus Cousins, Tyreke Evans, etc.) The guys you mentioned have great strengths, but sometimes weaknesses are more important in trying to determine who makes the cut and what the team needs more of. Josh Smith is a way better player than Tyson Chandler. But did they need another versatile forward with Lebron, Melo, Durant, Love and Griffin (now hurt) on the team or a strong anchor on the inside? Just sayin'. And Amare can't play because of his insurance believe it or not.

Just sayin'. And if they think like you, they take this far too seriously. Being All-USA is about being THE BEST in the USA. Its supposed to be an honor like an All-Star game or All-NBA. You are definitely not seriously building a team. Personalities is bullshit. That's the BS excuse they used to keep Isiah Thomas off the Dream Team. NBA players are not mature in general.

Nobody said this was an All-USA award type thing LMAO it's a privilege not a right just cause you can play a good one on one game and if you act like a dick about it, they'll take it. Coach K and Colangelo do think this way and they've said it before. They are building so this program lasts for a long time and players come into a system that works. Not some half-assed pick dudes who might not even fit in with others. They've said they want commitment every summer (which they get from these players). They take it serious because basketball is OUR game. It's pretty embarrassing that the country that boasts the best league in the world can't produce a team that can win Gold at the Olympics, FIBA Americas and World Championships. If you aren't building a team then what are they doing? Playing streetball at your nearest park? LMAO I also have it that they are considering only having players 23 and under participate, since owners are worried about injuries and money not being brought in necessarily for the use of their stars. And Isiah Thomas was kept off because hardly anybody could stand him then. Magic, Jordan and others have confessed they pushed for him not to be on the team. Kind of funny since his own coach (Chuck Daly) from the Pistons kept him off

What is their to build too? They haven't won enough titles over the years? They won't win more without strategy? Big Lawls. What is wrong with streetball? That is where almost every one of these players start. Honestly I'll never understand your point of view. From my perspective, if your one of the best players in your country, you make the team. That's how I see it. It's supposed to be an honor, we've both said that. All the more reason to pick the best players.
That's the whole point I made about Isiah Thomas. He was in my eyes better than Magic Johnson and possibly even better than John Stockton and should of been on the team. It's a joke that he wasn't, really.

Team should look more like Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade (He might be injured I dont remember), Kobe Bryant Kevin Durant, Paul Pierce, Carmelo Anthony LeBron James (is he injured?), Josh Smith DeMarcus Cousins, Kevin Love, Tyson Chandler James isn't injured. He is on Team USA.

Honestly I'll never understand your point of view. Exactly. And not my view point, there's. Coach K does this at Duke as well and it works. So yeah.

He has a deadly three but his defense is silly.

His three is not deadly at all. He's one of the streakiest shooters in the league.

He'll be decent off the bench regardless. You gotta give props to the new GM for getting things done.
