We did the DXX Fantasy Football League for about three years running, and it proved to be quite popular. I forget who won, I think I won the first one with Campbell winning the next two but I could be wrong, either way it's back! Simply sign up at fantasy.premierleague.com create your team, and then click on 'Join a League.' You then need to enter the following code: 231829-67028 That'll get you into the DXX League. Can I please ask that you pick a team name associated with your DXX username, something like Orton's Orions, Matt Hardy's Minions or Lewis' Legends would really help me keep track of who's who. I'll update this post and topic weekly with current standings, and don't worry if you're late joining in - one time I think it was Nabeel who didn't join in until nearly Christmas and he ended up finishing about fourth out of nine or ten of us. Current standings as of Wednesday 21st November: Campbell's Cavalry - 573 McMahon's Magicians - 570 The Assassins - 552 Storme Troopers - 541 Team name (Nabs) - 488 Assy Bites (Kane) - 475 RB Stars - 407 Justins Doggs - 255

First thing's first, let's see your teams! Figured I'd start with a 4-3-3 formation, I like how under each player it says who he's playing next. With that in mind I put Park in for Larsson as I think the QPR man will fare better at home against Swansea than Larsson will away at Arsenal, and of course I want to avoid two opponents playing each other (Dawson and Ben Arfa for example) as one way or another that'll cost me points. Sure, Ben Arfa could get a hattrick which would get me loads, but I'd also lose loads for Dawson's part in conceding the goals.

McMahon's Magicians First things first. No comments about three Mags players and only one Mackem. Tactics, that's all it is.... I've left Assou Ekotto on the bench for the very same reasons Assy stated - I feel Ba and Cisse will potentially do better against Spurs' defence than vice versa, though my main concern is that I think Spurs will pop up with the win, despite me favouring the individual Newcastle players here. I can see a goal or two for the Mags strikers though, but I can't deny it's a big gamble so early on in the season I think Joe Hart in goal as captain was the safest bet I could make, with the champs at home to Premier League newboys (and my adopted hometown) Southampton. I just can't see City conceding here, short of by means of underestimation. The rest is fairly self explanatory I think.

Haha McMacster, you need to focus on more than just the first game, you only get one free transfer a week, any more cost you 4 points per transfer. Went for a 3-4-3, think I may make a few changes before the start of the season due to transfers that could occur and depending on whether Vidic is fit for the start of the season or not but this should be the team I go with

I saw football and thought it was the American kind. Shame on your tricks Assy! But I'm in I like this type a lot now. Follow Spanish football more, but this could get me into English football. Let's see how I do lol And I have no clue how to get a picture of my squad so ehh.

Haha McMacster, you need to focus on more than just the first game, you only get one free transfer a week, any more cost you 4 points per transfer. I know, that's the team I picked anyway, the first fixture thing was my explanation for selecting that as my first team. If I'd done what you suggested I'd hardly be likely to include any Sunderland players in the squad at all for their fixture against Arsenal would I :-P True enough picking an entire squad based on one week would be suicide, but picking a team and not altering your first team according to the next fixtures would be just as bad. Rather than worrying about my team choice, I'd suggest you go for a better name than "Team Name" Nabs :-P

Right then gents, the season kicks off next weekend so now is the time for any last minute changes. Also if anyone else wants to join please do, as mentioned you can still join later on but to maximize your chances of winning it's best to do so before it starts.
How about prizes for the top three at the end of the season? I was thinking:
1st - Custom title + 10 karma 2nd - 10 karma 3rd - 5 karma
Just a little something to make it more interesting.

You suck. Right then, early days and still two days of football to go for the opening weekend but the results are very, very close. Here's the table so far: 1. McMahon's Magicians - 22 2. Campbell's Cavelry - 21 3. RB Stars - 17 3. Storme Troopers - 17 3. The Assassins - 17 6. Team Name (Nabs) - 13 Obligatory lol at Nabs, but otherwise it's all to play for. Should be interesting to see if anyone can pull away early and establish a good lead by Monday evening.

Yesterday's games blew the mini league wide open, with McMahon dropping three places allowing Campbell's Cavalry (Randy Orton) to take the lead. Storme takes a decisive second place with me and McMahon tied in third. Full update to come later after the United and Chelsea game, those should rack up a few points. I also want to point out, Campbell picked up a whopping 27 points yesterday alone, with Nabs picking up... absolutely zero, he's still dead last with 13 points. He does have Vidic and Rooney in his squad though so a Rooney hat trick and a clean sheet will help his cause.
