POSTING
Please make sure you put your post in the appropriate forum and read previous posts to avoid duplicate posts. Do not post the same message in multiple forums, they will be deleted. Moving and deleting of post will be done by moderators without question.
Please do not double post. While we have taken actions to try and prevent this, it remains possible. Anyone caught double posting will have their posts merged, and post count reduced. Regular double posters will receive warnings. Please note, this rule does not apply in the Graphics area when bumping a request, as long as the other criteria have been met (i.e. two days since request made and no replies). It does also not apply when the original post has reached the maximum character length (e.g. e-fed shows). In this instance double posting is perfectly acceptable.
ADULT CONTENT
As this forum is suitable for ages 13 years and up, please do not post and adult material, be it nudity or other forms of pornography, anywhere on the site. This is a standard Proboards TOS rule in any case, and so breaking this rule doesn't only risk facing punishment yourself, but WWE as a whole could be looked at and risk being punished (i.e. deleted) for breaking TOS, so please adhere to this at all costs.
RESPECT
Remember this is a board for wrestling, and primarily a fantasy wrestling federation. It is supposed to be a game, and therefore enjoyed by all. DO NOT post anything defamatory about another member, and do not incite arguments. Do not post people’s personal information on the board. If someone wants their address and phone number out there, they can post it themselves, ELSEWHERE - not on this site. Any personal information that you’ve given out CAN and WILL come back to haunt you, so please don't do so for any reason.
BANNING
Posting anyone else's personal information will result in a immediate ban. Continually arguing with any member on the board will cause issues as well - if you have an issue or another member is constantly harassing you, go to a member of staff, ideally with screenshot evidence of this. Spamming and Trolling will be watched very closely and if you are out of line, a Mod will contact you. If you continue, further action will be taken.
In the first instance of breaking these rules, a staff member will contact you should they feel the need to do so to issue a written warning. This information will also be stored in your mini profile, along with a warning meter which includes a reason for your warning level. Repeat offenders will face more severe warning increments each time, and permanent bans will be issued should the matter become continuous.
*Please note that in rare situations, a permanent ban from the board may happen. Trust me when I say this is a very extreme occurrence and is not something the people in the authority position want to do. Our goal is to have a board that is to be used and enjoyed by all members that choose to spend some of their valuable free time here - don't ruin this for others.
IMAGES
Apart from the obvious content of the images, no rules per se exist. The only request we make is that should the image be of a size that will stretch the board, please either resize or post a link to the image for viewing elsewhere - this should ensure that DXX's appearance is not affected, thus helping to sustain maximum enjoyability.
BUMPING
Please do not bump old threads. This means that if a thread is older than about a month old it's dead and it doesn't need to be revived, people have said all they need to say in most cases. Generally if a topic is not on the first page it doesn't need to be replied to, though of course there may be some exceptions. Use your initiative!
In the graphics area, graphics requests may be bumped as long as there have been no replies for 48 hours. So, if you make a request at 6.13pm on Monday, and no-one has replied by 6.13pm on Wednesday, then feel free to double post with a "bump" message. Bumping can occur each 48 hours.
Should you spot a mistake in your original request, simply modify your original post. If you spot this mistake after the 48 hour period, it is OK to bump the message with your correction.
MISCELLANEOUS
Both created and existing wrestlers can be used here. If you're not sure whether an existing wrestler is already in use, please contact the GM who will be able to help.
Members are permitted to possess one account, and one account only. The only exception are admins, who may register more than one for testing purposes. There can perhaps be some exceptions here - for example an e-fed storyline hyping the return of a long-absent star. A duplicate may then be registered in order to hide the star's identity, but even then please contact a staff member or GM to request permission and advise on the situation.
Any PMs sent to staff requesting help will be answered in a timely fashion, but please bear in mind that no-one is here 24/7 - these requests will be answered as and when the receipient logs on and has worked through any other messages they may have too. Be patient.
Do not PM moderators asking/demanding someone be banned. Should you feel someone has severely broken the site's rules, use the "Report to Mod" button present below each post. We are able to archive these and review all evidence collected against a single member.
Should someone abuse this system or attempt to present false information in order to get someone banned, they will likely face consequences themselves. These cases will be dealt with on an individual basis.
The bottom line is, please just enjoy the place. Should you feel annoyed by any other members, by all means discuss it - discussion is healthy. Should this discussion then descend into personal insults or aggressive behaviour, then it is time to step back and let a staff member know, who will step in and attempt to resolve the situation.
No two situations will be the same, and so each one will be looked at and decided upon on an individual basis.
E-Fed
Anyone wishing to participate in the e-fed must first sign a contract. This will then be accepted or rejected based on the application's content, and feedback will be given should the application be rejected.
The rules of the individual shows will be decided and enforced by that show's GM, with help from the site staff should it be required.
If you lose a match you feel you should have won, discuss it with your GM - DO NOT APPROACH ANY OTHER STAFF MEMBER WITH THIS, as we have no other authority over the day-to-day running of the e-fed itself. However, should you feel the GM is acting inappropriately and does not offer you a satisfactory explanation for the result, you CAN send a complaint in to staff, however it has to be a clearly good and valid reason for complaint before action will be taken by them to resolve the issue. At the end of the day, the GM runs the fed.
Moderating / Staffing
As well as general member rules, it is only fair that the staff have rules clearly laid down as well, so here they are.
When moderating, don't necessarily lock a thread just because you may disagree with it's content - unless it is a blatant attempt at spam or directly contradicts these rules or the Proboards TOS, allow discussion to continue.
However, should a thread become too heated and you feel uncomfortable simply leaving it open, then use initiative. Locking a thread is all fine and dandy, but be aware that these members could well still just start another or take their conversations elsewhere on the site - remember, we are trying to make the site as enjoyable as possible, so simply do what you feel is right.
DO NOT PM any member of staff asking for a promotion to the staff team. Should a vancancy (or even a new need for staff) arise, then the existing staff will decide upon a shortlist of suitable candidates for that role, and evaluate the circumstances. Either McMahon or Assassin will then personally PM you offering you the position. If you don't want it, it's OK to say no - we would rather you did that at the start than reluctantly taking the position and seeing your enjoyment of the community suffer. Don't be afraid to say no if you don't feel comfortable doing the job
On occasion, we may throw out an open application for a staff position, such as the GM job for example. You should follow all appication guidelines presented at the time, and do not PM someone in an effort to "further" your application - doing so will be viewed negatively, and could affect the application. We are busy guys - we will do these things the way we have done so before - don't try and influence us, apart from in the content of your application of course!
Please remember, a staff position on WWE is a responsibility, NOT A POSITION OF SOCIAL STANDING. If you are asked to become a member of staff, it is because we believe you can genuinely help enforce and improve the rules to make WWE even better. Never take this position for granted, because should we feel you are not doing the job properly, then we can and will take action, be it having a word to discuss concerns, all the way to (in the hopefully rare case) removal from your position.
That said, it's still OK to enjoy being a mod - you have powers, use them! Don't abuse them, but enjoy them.
Staff are also all subject to these other rules as well, and the same action will be taken against them as would be implemented against non-staff.
Please make sure you put your post in the appropriate forum and read previous posts to avoid duplicate posts. Do not post the same message in multiple forums, they will be deleted. Moving and deleting of post will be done by moderators without question.
