This is a question I have always wondered, I don't want to sound inconsiderate or anything but Vince is getting older and it will happen one day, so what I want to know is what you think will happen to the WWE (and wrestling world) when Vince dies.
Honestly I think it will have a major affect not only on WWE but the entire wrestling world, I think the WWE stock would take a major hit (just like Apple did when Steve Jobs died) and the WWE would sit still for a while, they would probably cancel a week of WWE Television and do a Vince McMahon tribute show on RAW (like they did with Benoit). When this happens I don't think WWE will ever be the same. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon would probably take over the business.

Wouldn't it go to his next of kin?

It depends on if Vince McMahon gives up the ownership, or at least most of it, he has now to the rest of his family. He currently has 59% of the shares and 88% of the voting power. If he doesn't give that up, or at least most of it, before he dies, the WWE could be bought by an outside party. At the very least, he'd need to have a will that he wants to hand over his power to the rest of his family which he probably does have so I'm not sure a situation like that could happen. But never know. If it did, the WWE would go like WCW did and that is by potentially having an owner (or majority owner, anyway) that doesn't actually care about the wrestling product.

I always assumed Triple H was supposed to take over once Vince retires rather than dies, as I can't see him running the company into his 80's or 90's. Beforehand it was Shane I guess but he's done with wrestling, so I thought Trips and Stephanie would share the company between them.

I have no idea, I remember reading somewhere that in an Interview with Vince he said that he was running the company until he dies in his chair, but I have no idea

Stephanie will be the owner, no doubt. Not sure it will go from there though, since Stephanie's already 35 and I doubt either of her 3 children will follow the wrestling business . somehow, it's just a gut feeling . Vince's 66, if he retires/dies by the age of 75, for example, that means Stephanie will be 44 and Aurora (the oldest daughter) will be 15, and I doubt she'll gain enough interest in wrestling from that age on . I dont know. it's going to be interesting to see how it goes. Personally i think it's a shame Shane doesnt want to get involved as i think Triple H's relationship with Stephanie can be a major backdrop to WWE, because if they're the co-owners, they'll discuss ideas but ideas might drop and fall apart and bad things can happen, because they might argue and stuff . Shane would have a brother-fist , not a husband one, so i think he'd be way better for WWE than Triple H, backing Stephanie I dont know if i've made myself clear

It's obvious they'll pull a Warhammer 40k on us. Vince nearly dead they'll pay for some sort of throne to be built with a built in life support system, and connect Vince to the throne...maybe make it golden....

Yeah I think I remember hearing Vince is there until he dies, but I think should that situation present itself then common sense will prevail, for reasons iDOL already stated.
Trips and Steph I think will run the place, with Stephanie in the Linda role and Trips in the Vince role, on-screen at least.
Personally I think Trips is genuinely just about the best guy for the job, though as I haven't seen how other people could do it's possibly not a fair assumption. But since he gained more control we've seen some nice signings (or at least signings that you know SHOULD be nice but just haven't quite worked. Hi Sin Cara, how you doing?), and him bringing back more hype vignettes plays right up my street, so I'm dancing down the road singing Paul Levesque's song on this one I think.

To be honest, I dont know if Steph would be willing to give Triple H the control. She is the McMahon, plus they can get divorced anytime (troubles happen) , so i'm really unsure on the role H would have. Like I said, I think Shane would be a much better person to back Steph than H . Less relationship issues interfering

In the words of WWE Champion CM Punk, "It's going to get taken over by his idiotic daughter and doofus son n law."

Almost... In the words of WWE Champion CM Punk, "It's going to get taken over by his idiotic daughter and doofus son n law." Sorry, had to. ...THERE! Triple H takes over, names it Hardcore Hand Hazard wrestling (Triple H wrestling) and it's about men with big noses and biker moustaches crotch-chopping each other. In all seriousness, WWE will have many direction changes, potentially even changing names, bands, and structure. However we will still see it as the top wrestling promotion in north america and it will still be full of John Cena's sexy jorts.

Linda is out because she's chosen a career in politics and Shane doesn't want to live in his father's shadow so that only leads Triple H and Stephanie to take over the company. Only time will tell whether or not any of their children would take an interest in the future.
