From Lords of Pain: - This week's semi-live TNA Impact Wrestling episode, featuring {Spoiler}Drew Galloway winning the TNA World Heavyweight Title, drew 307,000 viewers. This is up from last week's 222,000 viewers for Kurt Angle's farewell. Last week's show did not make the Cable Top 150 but this week the show ranked #129. Good news for TNA, although those numbers are still abysmal for a company once regularly drawing 1.5 million or more viewers a week.

Who knows. I'm amazed that company is even still alive after being cancelled twice. It's like the little engine that could, if the little engine that could lost all its charm after being ass raped by former WWE/WCW/ECW guys for years and years and years.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I love Bischoff, I think he's one of the best brains in the world. But at the end of the day, he didn't know the TNA Product when he came in... and because of that, he and Hogan were the downfall of TNA's success. TNA, before Bischoff, had Russo at the helm calling the shots and making the decisions and it worked for them. Bischoff knows how to handle previously established WWE talent, I give him that. But aside from Goldberg, he's not exactly the best at making talent. Russo is, and he's proven it. Triple H and Shawn Michaels have even admitted that without Russo, there wouldn't be a DX; and we all know who came up with The Rock gimmick and who it was that made Mankind a huge draw for WWE by giving him a proper push.
So while I love Bischoff, I honestly believe that TNA should've stayed with Russo and continued to let him book the show. Think about it. With Russo there, we got feuds like Christian vs. Angle, Angle vs. Joe, AJ vs. Sting, Hernandez being pushed, LAX vs. Styles & Daniels, Triple X vs. AMW, Joe vs AJ Styles vs. Daniels, Beer Money, etc etc. TNA's roster and show back then was about making new stars, while using the previously made talent to establish TNA's guys. Angle and Christian got the world title, but they put over guys like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Hernandez, Jay Lethal, Chris Harris, James Storm, Robert Roode (as he was known back then)... even Desmond Wolfe got a huge push under Russo's reign.
Basically, if TNA wants to get back to bringing in 1.5 Million views, they need a writer like Russo that's going to push the focus on the new talent. Guys like Rockstar Spud, Eli Drake, Crazy Steve, The Wolves (when they're not injured), Tigre Uno and use guys like Jeff and Matt to push their stars into the upper levels of super stardom.

They did have Vince Russo on the payroll after Hogan/Bischoff, and it was in direct violation to the network's agreement which was:
1.) No man on woman violence 2.) No Vince Russo
TNA broke both at once and that's why Spike took them off the air.

I actually liked the TNA product until Hogan, and Bischoff got involved.
Remember when they tried to re-create the Monday Night Wars, during WrestleMania season? That was a complete failure.
