It's that time again, let's talk about all the latest signings and rumours. ;D
Apparently David Villa has been linked heavily with a move to the Premiership, with a number of clubs wanting him on loan. Liverpool have had a bid turned down already but the surprise bookies favourite is Swansea which would be incredible. Michu and Villa banging the goals in? Yes please. Trouble is Barcelona are only looking to sell him for about £16 million which probably prices out the Welsh team, not to mention his wages would probably eclipse the rest of the squads put together.
LA Galaxy look likely to sign Kaka, after already getting manager Carlo Cudicini who managed him at AC Milan a few years back. Shame really as he'd probably fit in well in England.
Harry Redknapp wants to sign Joe Cole from Liverpool for his QPR team. Also with speculation regarding Frank Lampard's future he'll probably be after him as well. As Lampard is his nephew I reckon he stands a good chance of getting him if Chelsea are stupid and don't give him a new contract. Wouldn't put it past them...
Manchester United and Arsenal remain favourites to sign teenage sensation Wilfred Zaha from Crystal Palace, but after a large number of bets on him to sign for Spurs their odds have been slashed from 25/1 to just 10/1.
Reading agreed a deal for Sporting Lisbon captain Daniel Carrico yesterday and could be set for further additions in January. Director of football Nick Hammond has confirmed he plans to hold talks with Central Coast Mariners regarding a deal for midfielder Tomas Rogic, who has been a long-term target for Reading.
Paris St Germain are keen on Arsenal winger Theo Walcott, who is out of a contract in the summer. However the manager has been playing him in his favoured centre forward for the past few games, with the player hinting 'something will be sorted soon' with Arsenal so he may well stay.
Scott Sinclair has struggled to make an impact since joining Manchester City from Swansea City in the last transfer window and The Sun reports that Everton manager David Moyes is keen to sign the winger on loan for the second half of the season. Not surprising really, the lad only left Swansea for the money and he was never going to get regular playing time at City.
Perhaps the most interesting line from the papers so far this morning is the Daily Star claiming that Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will offer Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole the chance to move to Old Trafford when the pair's contracts expire at Chelsea at the end of the season.
