Well, according to Guitarist Magazine at least. This is 'Blackbird' by Alter Bridge, from the album of the same name. What do you think, is it the best ever?
Personally, not even close for me. I don't even think it's that good a solo, and it doesn't help being plonked quite near the end of what is a poor song in the first place.
Seriously, compared to classic solos it's ridiculous. Mark Knopfler busts out an awesome solo in Dire Straits' Sultans of Swing, and of course there's the epic solo finale from Purple Rain. But what are your favourites?
