Ah man, tell me about it. I had a budget of £27.50, and after getting Shogun 2 that leaves me with £20. There's so much I want but I have to play it safe.
Also Football Manager 2012 is on sale at £5 or the equivalent in your country for the next five hours, and Blood Bowl is going for £7.50 for you Warhammer fans. That deal ends in seven hours. If this is anything like previous sales what Steam tend to do is have a massive deal on the final day, literally everything that had been on sale will be available again. basically don;t worry too much if you're a little late.

Just got Tropico 4, played it on the 360 and loved it so I'm really pleased with that.

I find crime to be a bit confusing, like I'll have 5 or 6 police stations, secret police and a large army base and yet the 'crime cloud' for want of a better description is still deep red. Also sometimes I'll turn a profit of $10,000 a month, buy myself something simple like a museum and a couple of tourist attractions and the next thing I know I'm losing $2,000 a month.
I should mention for this sale, it's not a good idea to buy anything that isn't a daily deal. For example some of the games within a bundle look good, but chances are they'll be cheaper later in the sale. A general rule I go but is not to buy anything that isn't 75% off, like today Dead Island is 66% off but chances are it'll go down in price even more later in the week.

I suggest getting Payday: The Heist, I preordered on steam a while ago for $20. It's definitely a good buy, at first it looks like L4D but the zombies are cops, the game is more deeper then that. I was able to get one of mates to buy it, and we've had a lot of fun playing it. There's a DLC being released but that's been for a while now, it's mainly due to Sony playtesting the DLC

Do you have a prison? Prisoners need to go somewhere!

You can get the beta for free, which I have, what you got off steam was just some extra stuff as well as the game

Todays deals are:
The Walking Dead -40% £12.59 *Grants you the season pass to all 5 episodes Serious Sam 3: BFE -£75% £7.49 Cities XL 2012 -75% £7.49 Darkness II -75% £9.99 Trine 2 -75% £2.99 * Franchise Sale Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword -75% £1.99 * Franchise Sale Saints Row: The Third -75% £7.49 Hitman: Blood Money -75% £1.49 *Franchise Sale Indie Bundle IV -75% £6.99 (includes A Valley Without Wind, Atom Zombie Smasher, Blocks That Matter, Sanctum, Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP)
Saints Row is probably the best deal today, I would say The Walking Dead is too but at only 40% off it's not quite a good a deal as it could be. Personally I'm holding out for a better deal as only 2 of the 5 episodes have been released, I've played the first one and it's excellent but I'd rather wait until all 5 are out before commiting to that.
The Hitman games might also be worth a look if you have a spare couple of pounds/dollars left over, Blood Money is probably the best of the three on sale.
